‘Bridgerton’ star Nicola Coughlan models in ethereal Skims campaign: ‘Like a renaissance painting’

Dearest gentle reader, there’s a new Skims model in town.

Nicola Coughlan is the latest celeb to model for Kim Kardashian’s fashion brand, with the “Bridgerton” star posing in a series of dreamy watercolor-style photos snapped by fashion photog Elizaveta Porodina.

The 37-year-old actress sports a number of pastel-hued lounge dresses from the reality star’s lingerie and clothing line in the angelic new pics, captioning an Instagram post “Everybody’s wearing @SKIMS.”

In one pic, the actress wore the Skims Soft Lounge maxi dress ($80) in a citrusy lemonade hue perfect for her character, Penelope Featherington’s, pre-makeover color palette on the show.

She also showed off the same dress in a bone hue ($80) while lounging against an arrangement of flowers, and changed into a long-sleeved gray version of the lounge dress ($90) in another photo.

The “Derry Girls” star — who recently clapped back against “trolls” who thought her body had been edited on screen — wore her blond hair in beachy waves for the romantic shoot, accenting her features with rosy blush and glossy pink lips.

Fans were loving the dreamy pics, like one who wrote, “Wowwww!! Like a renaissance painting” and another Instagram user who shared, “excuse me what?! an actual goddess 😍🔥.”

Along with Coughlan, everyone from Brooke Shields to Sabrina Carpenter has starred in Skims ads, with the latter recently explaining that there is “no weirdness” with her friend and Kardashian nemesis Taylor Swift about the decision.

It should come as no surprise that Kardashian tapped a “Bridgerton” star for her brand’s latest clothing campaign, as the reality star is one of the show’s biggest fans.

Kardashian is such a fan that she even sent Coughlan an Instagram DM in 2021, with the actress telling Bustle, “I woke up one morning and had a DM from Kim Kardashian. I was like, ‘What is going on?’ So weird!’ We talked about ‘Bridgerton.”

“Everyone knows I’ve been a huge fan of Nicola and ‘Bridgerton’ since the beginning, so for her to star in our Soft Lounge campaign is a full circle moment!” the Skims founder said in a press release, praising the star’s “undeniable beauty and energy.”

The duo actually share a love or corsets, with Kardashian once begging to come to a fitting for the Netflix show as both her iconic Met Gala 2019 corset and that of the regency show were made by legendary designer Mr. Pearl.
