Hannah Waddingham pays tribute to ‘Ted Lasso’ with $4K blinged-out soccer ball purse at SAG Awards afterparty

It looks like Hannah Waddingham had a ball while attending a SAG Awards afterparty.

While the actress, 49, walked the red carpet ahead of the awards show in a red, off-the-shoulder gown from Tony Ward Couture, she chose to change into something a bit more comfortable as she reunited with the “Ted Lasso” cast after the show was over.

Along with show’s fellow stars — including Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein and Juno Temple — Waddingham showed up to People’s Post Screen Actors Guild Awards Gala wearing a Nike tracksuit that featured the logo for AFC Richmond, which is the fictional soccer team from the series.

Still, it was the star’s purse that managed to make a bold statement, as she completed the look with an embellished soccer ball clutch.

The crystal-covered purse is from celebrity-loved handbag designer Judith Leiber and currently retails for $3,995.

The star wore it cross-body throughout the night and posed for photos, showing off the glimmering accessory.

Though it was certainly on-theme for the night — which was the last awards show where “Ted Lasso” would be honored following its final season — the pricy piece was quite the switch up from the clutch Waddingham carried on the SAG Awards red carpet.

For the actual ceremony, the blond bombshell went with a cardboard creation by her 9-year-old daughter Kitty, whom she shares with ex Gianluca Cugnetto, which was decorated with colorful designs and included the word “epic.”

“My daughter wanted to contribute, so she’s made me a bag,” the mom of one revealed while speaking with Netflix during the red carpet pre-show.

She added that while award shows may be great, being a mom “is the most important.”

Still, that was far from the only time the “Game of Thrones” alum made an unconventional fashion choice while attending an industry event.

Back in 2022, she opted to wear a pink Dolce and Gabbana gown to the Emmy Awards, but traded traditional heels or flats for sparkly sneakers from the brand, which were hidden underneath the tulle design.

Here’s hoping the star keeps her fashion streak going long after Lasso.
