Jennifer Lawrence laughs off wardrobe malfunction at Saks holiday lighting ceremony

Oops!

Jennifer Lawrence handled a wardrobe malfunction like a pro during the Saks Fifth Avenue holiday lighting ceremony on Monday night.

The Oscar winner was giving a speech before unveiling the department store and Dior’s “Carousel of Dreams” 2023 holiday window displays, when her belt unexpectedly popped off and fell to the ground.

“I’m so sorry, that was so loud, my belt popped off!” the actress goodnaturedly exclaimed, while she stood alongside the President of Saks Fifth Avenue Marc Metrick and the CEO of Christian Dior, Delphine Arnault, in a clip shared by Women’s Wear Daily.

Lawrence, who looked chic in a black and white Dior outfit straight off the runway and black hairband, put up her hands in mock horror before quickly regaining her composure and continuing on with her spiel before unveiling the spectacular window display.

The “Hunger Games” star exclaimed that her belt had “popped off.”

The “Joy” star, 33, has been a Dior ambassador since 2012 and is often seen in the front row at the French fashion brand’s various runways and events.

The light extravaganza spans the 10-story Manhattan building and features 300,000 LED lights.

It’s the first time the swanky retailer has exclusively collaborated with Dior for its holiday window display, which according to WWD took “100 artisans, 10 months in planning” and involved “designing and manufacturing objects in Italy” and flying them into New York.

It’s not the first time the “Hunger Games” star has been relatably klutzy.

In 2013, she memorably tripped at the Oscars as she went to the stage to accept the Best Actress Award for her role in “Silver Linings Playbook.”

By the time she reached the podium, the audience was on its feet for a standing ovation.

“You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell,” she began her speech with an awkward grin. “And that’s really embarrassing.”

A year later she took a little tumble on the Oscars red carpet.

But by 2018, Lawrence seemingly conquered her Oscar pratfalls as she was spotted with a wine glass in-hand, climbing over seats inside the Dolby Theater.
