Kate Middleton spotted leaving Windsor Castle with Prince William after post-surgery Photoshop fail

Kate Middleton was spotted departing Windsor Castle with Prince William Monday afternoon after fans have been busy speculating about her whereabouts.

The Princess of Wales, 42, appeared to sit in the backseat of a chauffeured vehicle with her husband, who was dressed in a classic suit. Middleton was accompanying her husband to Westminster Abbey, where he’ll be attending the annual Commonwealth Day service.

We’re told Middleton will not attend the event and instead was heading to a private appointment.

While his profile could be seen, only the back of Middleton’s head was visible as she stared out the opposite window.

Middleton’s unexpected but vague appearance comes after a series of events that have fueled conspiracy theories surrounding her whereabouts since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

On Sunday, Middleton shared what turned out to be a heavily edited photo of herself sitting in a chair flanked by her three children — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

In addition to the botched Photoshop edits, Middleton didn’t wear her iconic sapphire engagement ring, which prompted royal fans to speculate whether she and the Prince of Wales were getting divorced.

In light of the obvious alterations that had been made to the Mother’s Day-inspired image, various photo agencies issued a “kill notice” so outlets wouldn’t publish the photo. In response, Middleton apologized for her failed attempt at editing.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” she wrote on X from the official Prince and Princess of Wales account.

“I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”

Despite owning up to the errors, Kensington Palace refused to share the original image, which was said to be snapped by William.

Last week, a paparazzi photo showed Middleton riding in an SUV with her mother, Carole, but the image was so grainy many believed the blur was added in post allegedly to cover up the fact that it appeared to be Middleton’s sister, Pippa.

In light of the swirling theories, William decided to break his silence.

“His focus is on his work and not on social media,” a spokesman for the Prince of Wales shared in a statement.
