Serena Williams is embracing her new body months after giving birth to her second daughter, Adira.
The tennis legend shared a photo of herself wearing a bikini while carrying her baby girl and wrote to her fans that “loving yourself is essential” after going through pregnancy.
“I find that I have to remind myself of that self-love through all different stages in my life,” Williams began her Instagram caption.
“Right now I love that my body is not picture perfect. I love that I smell like milk – that milk sustains @adiraohanian I love getting to know a new version of my body.”
Williams, 42, said the changes in her body have been “well worth it” and encouraged her followers to start the week by knowing that they’re “loved.”
“And that starts with you,” she concluded before admitting she was going to the gym.
The athlete and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed Adira in August.
“I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama,” Ohanian, 40, gushed.
“Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.”
Just two months later, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was back in the gym trying to get her “ab muscles” back.

“Here comes fitness!” she added.

“Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us,” Williams captioned Instagram photos of her and her husband’s epic red carpet appearance.
That same month, the champion shared a video of Olympia’s adorable reaction to the news.
“Are you kidding me?” the toddler asked her parents. “Oh my God, I’m so excited.”
