He’ll always have the memories.
Snoop Dogg announced on Instagram Thursday that he is seemingly giving up smoking.
“After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” he said alongside a black-and-white picture of himself.
“Please respect my privacy at this time.”
Fans expressed how shocked they were to hear about the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper’s revelation in his Instagram comments.
“Never thought I’d see the day‼️” wrote one user.
“I guess I won’t be setting out a blunt and a glass of milk this Christmas for Uncle Snoop,” added another.
“Didnt have this on my 2023 bingo card / I hope Snoop finds success on his path to quitting 🙏,” commented a third person.
Others believe Snoop — born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. — was trolling his fans and planning to indulge in edibles instead.
“I feel like this is a joke…,” wrote a doubter.
“Waiting on the sike!!!” added another.
“😂😂😂 yeah ok. Willie Nelson like a 101 yrs old and he still smokes 🌱 like a chimney! 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” commented a third skeptic user.
Snoop’s love for weed has been well-known throughout his career.
In 2019, the West Coast emcee, 52, urged lawmakers to consider a “minority clause” as the call for marijuana to be legalized across the country grew.

“I think there should be some sort of minority clause, the way that they do in sports with the NBA and the NFL, where they make certain rules where the minority has to get the first dibs,” he said during a Revolt Summit panel in LA at the time.
“Like, you gotta be somebody of color or somebody from that community to get first in action and then the rest of you motherf–kers with money get action. Because it shouldn’t be based on no money.”
Snoop has also bragged about smoking all over the world — including the White House.
Last year, the “Baby Boy” star clarified how much weed he actually smokes when rumors surfaced that he smoked between 75 and 100 blunts per day.
“Bitch said I smoke … bitch, this is all in a day’s work. Stop lying,” he said on Instagram alongside a video of about nine smoked blunts.
“F–k I’ma smoke all that weed in one day? What am I, a f–kin’ machine? Bitch, this is the roaches. See…roaches.”
We would like to send our condolences to Snoop as he deals with his difficult time.
