Talk about envy.
Fans called out Melissa Gorga for wearing white to her cousin’s wedding over the weekend — though she did so while serving as a bridesmaid, at the grooms’ request.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star shared several snaps of her posing alongside her cousin, Nicholas Marco, and his now-husband, Mike Masco, at their wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate in upstate New York on Saturday.
In the first photo, Gorga wore a low-cut white sequin dress with a gold sparkly pattern at the waist and a slit down one of her legs as she stood between Marco and Masco – who were each wearing dark embellished suits.
Gorga also added a picture of her mom’s side of the family all wearing coordinating hues of white, silver and gold as well.
Another photo shared to her Instagram Story showed the six women all holding bouquets of flowers, marking their bridesmaid status.
A rep for Gorga confirmed to Page Six Style that the grooms specifically requested that the bridesmaids were wear whites and golds, but several Instagram users still criticized Gorga, 44, calling the “On Display with Melissa Gorga” podcast host “thirsty” for wearing the bridal color.
“Melissa your dress is gorgeous but how you gonna wear white to someone else’s wedding,” one popular comment read.
“Why are you wearing white?… #Thirsty,” one user wrote.
“You wore white to someone else’s wedding?! What???? 😐,” someone asked.
“You look great…..but is it ok to wear white to a wedding?” another person wondered.
“why are you wearing white?” one user bluntly asked. “R u the bride lol,” another sarcastically wrote.
However, many people came to Gorga’s defense and wondered how people didn’t see the group photo of the other women wearing white, silver and gold gowns.
“The was a gay man’s wedding…. They are wearing black- it’s obvi it was told to the women to wear white and gold…. Why are you all so rude? Go outside and touch grass!” one defender wrote.
“thirsty for what? Clearly it was well planned before the wedding if you noticed the bridesmaid colours!!! The looks like it was gold, white and copper. Also, do you see a bride anywhere!!??” someone else asked.
“did you not scroll and see the other women wear white? It was clearly part of the dress code. The grooms were in black,” another user pointed out.

“if you look at the others pic, they were in the wedding party and looks like they were asked to wear gold/white by the grooms!” someone else suggested.
“Why is everyone throwing so much hate @melissagorga wearing white. She wasn’t the only one. If you check out the 3rd picture one other lady was wearing white too. Obviously it was okay to wear white to this wedding,” another person wrote.
Gorga has not responded to any of the comments, nor did she acknowledge a dress code in her Instagram caption shared Sunday.
However, fellow “RHONJ” stars Margaret Josephs and Dolores Catania also attended the nuptials and posed with Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law, wearing mint green and black gowns respectively.
Their significant others, Joe Benigno and Paul “Paulie” Connell, also looked sharp in suits while Joe Gorga officiated the ceremony in a tuxedo.
